Little Woodland House, Light-Up

A little orange cottage with a slate-grey roof, a chimney and a heart above the door. Switch it on and the windows glow warm, as if someone has just come home and put the kettle on.

There is no flame and no cable, so it can sit anywhere: a bookshelf, a mantelpiece, a windowsill seen from the street.

Why we love it

• A soft glow with no flame to watch
• Battery operated, so it goes where the sockets are not
• Small enough for a shelf, characterful enough to notice
• Batteries included

Lovely for

• Building a little village along the mantelpiece
• A dark corner of a bookshelf
• Anyone who brings the autumn things out early

The details

• Approximately 11cm tall and 10.5cm across
• Resin and polyresin
• LED light, battery operated, 3 x LR1130 button batteries included
• For indoor use only
• Made in China

The batteries are small button cells. Keep them, and the decoration, out of reach of young children and pets.
