Carved Sandstone Oil Burner – Moorish Square

A squared lantern shape, pierced with a Moorish arch.

Hand-carved from natural sandstone by artisans in Jogja, Java. The cut-out throws a soft arched shadow across the wall behind once the tealight is lit — a small piece of architecture on a shelf.

The dish above takes a wax melt or a few drops of essential oil. Stone holds heat well, so the fragrance releases at an even pace across the evening.

Hand-carved, so each has its own grain and tone.

Natural Indonesian sandstone. Use with a standard tealight and your favourite melts or oils.
