We've always believed cosy isn't a place, it's a feeling you carry with you. So we're taking it on the road.

The Cosy Nest — Campers is a small collection of design packs for people building their own campervan. Each one is drawn to fit a specific van, so you can do the satisfying part yourself, without the guesswork.

What's in a pack

  • A full layout, drawn to your van's real dimensions.
  • A cutting list to take to your local timber merchant, so the boards come home ready cut.
  • A priced parts list — hob, fridge, sink, power and fittings — so you know the cost before you start.
  • A choice of board finish, from hard-wearing to beautiful birch, priced at each level.

All-electric, by design

Our layouts are gas-free. Cooking, hot water and the kettle all run from a portable power station, topped up by solar and by the van as you drive. No gas certificates, and nothing to declare at the tunnel or the ferry.

The vans we're drawing for

We're starting with the vans most people convert themselves — 2017 onwards, so they meet Euro 6 for ULEZ and low-emission zones at home and abroad:

  • VW Transporter T6 and T6.1
  • Ford Transit Custom
  • Mercedes Vito
  • Peugeot Expert, Citroën Dispatch, Vauxhall Vivaro and Toyota Proace
  • Renault Trafic

The jobs we leave to the experts

Some things shouldn't be DIY. Pop-top roofs, crash-tested seat-beds and built-in electrics are fitted by specialists, and each pack points you to people we trust.

Would you like it ready cut?

Some of you would rather skip the timber merchant altogether. We're looking at a ready-cut kit: every board cut to your van, edged and numbered, delivered flat to your door, with the same layout and parts list as the pack.
